Be Thankful You Are A Democrat (Round Two)

Less than a week since Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) was the fodder of political discussions with his quoted statements about how then-Candidate Obama acted in a stereotypical manner when it politically suited him, another Senate (now) Democrat, Arlen Specter (D-PA) is tossing his hat in the "Be-Glad-You-Are-A-Democrat" sweepstakes for boneheaded statements.  In a radio interview with Congresswoman Michelle Bachman (R-MN), the Senator, on more than on occasion, told the Congresswoman that "I am going to treat you like a lady….now act like one!"  If you would like to hear the context, it is available on RealClearPolitics.com via this link.
 
With due respect to the switch-footed Senator from Pennsylvania (who, like most Democrats, is facing a daunting re-election battle in November), what would be the response from liberal women’s groups, feminists, or the Democrat’s willing accomplices in the Main-scream Media had a male Republican officeholder or candidate been so rudely dismissive and arrogantly condescending to a female or minority Democrat.  Can we imagine the calls for resignations, censures, and pounds of flesh that would have been demanded? 
 
However, Senator Specter, you will (as do all Democrats) be given a pass for your asinine and arrogant comments.  So long as you toe the "company line" and serve as a political shill voting to advance the collectivist policies of the kook left-fringe, you will be insulated from the scorn and shame that you so richly deserve.  Then, come November – the voters of Pennsylvania will send you packing off into retirement with so many of your liberal Democratic comrades.
